◆ About Skywalker

Safety is the foundation of every park we build

We will not compromise or take shortcuts when it comes to protecting your visitors. Every Skywalker park is designed, constructed, commissioned, and maintained against the highest European and national safety standards — without exception.

Safety is not a checkbox at the end of a project. It is an engineering discipline built into every phase: from the first site survey to the annual inspection years after opening.

Regulatory framework

Full compliance with European and national standards

Our parks are governed by a complete regulatory framework — from European structural standards to the guidelines of international industry associations and local building authorities. Every regulation that applies to your location is observed in full.

📐

Design & construction

All structural design, construction, and installation complies with EN 15567-1 (European Ropes Course Standard) and NEN EN 12572. These standards govern every element from pole foundations to platform loads.

🏛️

Industry associations

We observe the guidelines of the European Ropes Course Association (ERCA) and the International Adventure Park Association (IAPA) across all projects and in all markets.

🏗️

Local building regulations

Every project observes all building regulations issued by regional and communal authorities in the country of installation. Our early engagement with local permitting bodies prevents delays and compliance gaps.

Every park comes with complete technical documentation — user manuals, Health & Safety and operational guidelines, and a site-specific risk assessment — handed over to the operator at commissioning.
From design to opening

Safety is engineered in — not added at the end

The safety of a Skywalker park begins before a single pole is placed in the ground. During the Design & Engineering phase, all technical documentation and construction plans are assessed by an independent inspection body — typically TÜV or an equivalent accredited authority — before any build work commences.

No park opens to the public without first passing a formal Site Acceptance Test (SAT) conducted by an accredited, independent technical testing and certification body, in accordance with EN 15567-1 and NEN EN 12572. Independent certification also enables operators to obtain more competitive commercial insurance terms.

Technical documentation review for a Skywalker adventure park before opening

Independent design review — Technical documentation and structural calculations assessed by TÜV or equivalent before build work begins.
Fixed-price technical file — Final designs with strength calculations delivered before the net quote is issued. No surprises, no mid-project scope changes.
Certified construction teams — Installation carried out exclusively by specialized, certified personnel under our direct supervision.
Site Acceptance Test (SAT) — An accredited independent body certifies the completed structure per EN 15567-1 and NEN EN 12572 before the public is admitted.
Documentation handover — User manuals, H&S operational guidelines, and a site-specific risk assessment are transferred to the operator at opening.
Insurance advantage — Independent TÜV certification enables operators to obtain more competitive commercial insurance terms from opening day.
Lifecycle safety

Inspections and maintenance that protect your investment

Our safety commitment does not end at opening day. Skywalker's Lifecycle Management programme covers bimonthly operational checks, comprehensive annual inspections, PPE certification, and structured maintenance — keeping your park safe, compliant, and commercially operational year after year.

🔍

Bimonthly & annual inspections

Skywalker's full service contract includes bimonthly operational checks and a comprehensive annual inspection. Annual inspections are conducted by inspectors trained to Type C as defined by EN ISO/IEC 17020 — the standard recommended by EN 15567.

🦺

PPE inspection

Under EN 15567 and European PPE Regulations, all personal protective equipment used on your course — harnesses, helmets, carabiners — must be checked annually by a competent person. We manage this process alongside our inspection visits.

🔧

Structured maintenance

Bimonthly visits address minor wear — biners, clamps, joints, connectors, lines, and ropes. Annual visits cover platforms, poles, and structural elements. Early intervention prevents costly unplanned closures and protects your revenue schedule.

Under EN 15567 (Part 1), a periodic inspection must be conducted at least once every 15 months. While not statute law, this standard is the accepted state of the art and is regularly referenced in insurance assessments and legal proceedings. Non-compliance exposes operators to significant liability.

Qualified for every scenario

Operational safety starts with your team

The safest park in the world is only as safe as the people operating it. At commissioning, Skywalker provides ERCA-standard training for all management and operational staff, in compliance with EN 15567-2. This is followed by on-site support and structured refresher courses throughout the operating life of the park.

Our Training & Education syllabus covers every operational role — from new park instructor to senior inspector — and is built around demonstrable practical competency, not just classroom theory. Each qualification level requires both theoretical knowledge and a defined extent of practical experience before certification.
