Certified Smart Belay Service Center

All Edelrid Smart Belay servicing is carried out at the certified Edelrid Master Service Center. For commercial adventure parks, annual professional servicing is a contractual requirement — not a recommendation — to maintain warranty validity, comply with PPE regulations, and protect your liability position.

We manage the complete service cycle from collection through to certified return, so your fleet is ready for the next operating season.

Annual service scope

A full overhaul, unit by unit

Each Smart Belay unit submitted to our service center undergoes a structured technical process. Units are fully disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and subject to a complete mechanical diagnosis. Worn or degraded components are replaced using original manufacturer parts, and each unit is lubricated and reassembled before returning to operational standard.

Where a PPE certification is included in the service scope, we issue a full compliance certificate in accordance with current EN standards. This documentation provides your operations team with the inspection record required for commercial insurance and regulatory purposes.

Annual servicing also provides the only reliable opportunity to identify patterns of equipment misuse that routine operational checks cannot detect. Early identification protects your guests, preserves your warranty, and strengthens your insurance position.

Compliance and certification

Staying compliant under EN 15567 and EN 17109

PPE regulations and EN 15567

Under EN 15567 (European Ropes Course Standard) and current European PPE Regulations, all Personal Protective Equipment used on commercial adventure courses must be inspected annually by a competent person. The Smart Belay qualifies as PPE, and each unit requires an annual compliance check to remain in lawful commercial operation.

Our service integrates this PPE inspection into the full technical service process, producing a combined service report and compliance certificate for every unit in your fleet.

EN 17109 Category D — the sealed system

The Edelrid Smart Belay carries EN 17109 Category D classification — the highest individual safety system grade for ropes courses — enabled by its magnetic safety lock. This sealed design means the casing may only be opened by a certified Edelrid Master Service Center.

During mandatory third-party park inspections, your inspector should certify only the external components of each Smart Belay unit. Any attempt by unauthorised personnel to open the casing voids all safety certifications and manufacturer liability.

Warranty integrity Every Smart Belay carries a two-year manufacturer warranty, contingent on completion of the required annual service after the first twelve months of operation. Warranty status is verified as part of every service. Unauthorised opening voids all manufacturer liability.
Technical repairs Our service team manages all necessary technical repairs to the Smart Belay series. Costs are determined by unit condition, labour hours, and required OEM parts. To initiate a repair request, provide a detailed issue description. A basic inspection and reassembly fee applies even where further repairs are declined.
